Markus Lehnert

Markus Lehnert started his career in hospitality 30 years ago and he has been with Marriott International for the last 16 years. As Regional Vice President of International Hotel Development, Markus is responsible for the development of all Marriott Brands in Central Europe as well as Europe-wide for Moxy.

Prior to his current position, Markus led Marriott’s development efforts in Scandinavia, the Benelux Countries, the Balkans and Greece, as well as Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Poland.

Before joining Marriott, Markus was a hospitality consultant  at PKF in London for three years and before that he held operational positions for 13 years at various hotels, among them the Breidenbacher Hof in Düsseldorf and the London hotels: The Berkeley, Claridge’s and the Lanesbrough. Markus lives in Switzerland.
